Well, here I am in "Polish Potteryville" AGAIN!
I "just happened" to notice before we left on our
trip that Boleweslawiec, Poland was sorta on the way
to Seiffen, Germany. So I had gave some serious thought
to that bit of information. I had been remembering from
the previous weekends trip with Jim to this fun city there
was one more thing that I was still daydreaming about. Also,
I had a friend send me an email requesting...one more thing,
if we went again. So with two of us wishing for that one
last item of Polish Pottery Jim was a sweetheart and took a 2
hour detour, on the worst European roads we have ever driven
on yet (maybe worse than cobblestone), and drove me to
get those cute last items. It was only a 15 minute stop, I'm not
sure if that is a good way to look at making a 2 hour detour.
One other funny note. After Cody's first Polish Pottery trip,
where I had to force him to pick out a piece of Polish pottery,
we weren't quite sure how to bring up that we were taking a
detour there. (All he was thinking about was the slides we
were going to be doing in Seiffen). So we just decided to
head down the road and not tell him unless he really was
beginning to wonder where we were going. Well, he did
not even catch on until we were pulling up in the parking
lot. Of course he was quite apalled I "needed" another
stop for Polish Pottery. Thank goodness for modern day
technology (ie, computers to watch movies on.)
