Cody's 16th Birthday!!!

Cody turned 16 on Monday, February 22nd!
He had a lot of wonderful wishes sent his way.
He was a hit at school when I dropped off
three dozen homemade chocolate chip cookies
during his lunch break.

Cody was gloating about passing up his dad
in the height department!

Maybe by an inch or so, but he's moving ahead.

HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY CODY!!!

He's lookin' worried...

And with good reason!
Better a kiss from mom rather than some cute girls!

After a yummy spaghetti dinner at home we
played a few rounds of UNO.
Jim beat us in all but one round, I think jet lag was
working against us....

Kent's Broomfield Buddies~

Kent was so excited to be back in Broomfield
for a few days!
He had not been home since last August.

He spent time with some of his buddies like
Nick who leaves on his mission soon.

Andrew, Kent, Danny, Drew, Nick

Rachel Roylance and Hailey were in town
for the fun as well.

My Trip Favorites~

Here are some of my most favorite people!
I spent two days with my three
older kids who attend BYU.
I was able to go to some of their classes,
cook them a meal, take them shopping, get
some laundry done, and have lunches together.

Here is my beautiful daughter Chandra and me with
the great mountain scenery as a backdrop to the BYU campus.

Bryce offered to design Chandra and Tyler's
wedding announcement. So we met up with
him in one of the campus buildings computer labs
to work on the design. With his creative abilities
the design turned out beautifully!

Kent meeting up with us between classes.

It was an AWESOME two days for me!
I miss my kids! But I'm glad they are focused
on some great life goals and accomplishments.

After leaving Bryce and Chandra in Provo,
Kent and I headed back to Colorado for
some fun times there.
Here's two of my handsome sons
that I'm the lucky mom of!

Jim was very sweet to send me a Valentine Bouquet
to enjoy all week! It was a long lonely week for him.
He was SO happy for Cody and I to return "home."

Family and Friend Fun~

Chandra and I had a very productive weekend
in Colorado getting things in order for her
upcoming wedding. Wedding shoe shopping,
wedding dress alterations, reception planning,
meeting with the photographers, cake planning,
flower "picking", and a few more fun things were
managed and taken care of.
We also really enjoyed our time with the Kaisers,
Grandma, and visiting with ward members.
Then we headed off to Utah
so Coreen could spend time with her BYU Boys.

Tyler gladly picked Chandra and I up at the airport.
On our way to Provo we made time for a short
visit at Bob and Kelly's home. We managed to
round everyone up for a quick picture!

After our Draper stop we headed to Provo.
We were able to spend time visiting with
my friend Kris and enjoy her first grandchild, Olivia.
She looks pretty cute with the dress we brought.

Jeremy and Amy, Kris's daughter, are the lucky
ones to be Olivia's parents!

Grandbabies are just great!

Back in Colorado I was able to see my
sister Kendra one last time before heading
back to Germany.

My friend Kim called to say goodbye one last
time and we realized we were literally passing each
other on the road to the airport. So we stopped
to get a quick picture together!

Colorado here we come! And Bye Bye Bush Buddies~

Knowing that it's many mothers dreams to be
a part of their daughters fun wedding planning
Jim was smart and flew me and Cody home
for a week in the states to do just that.
Actually Cody would have no part of the planning
but he did have a great time in Broomfield
with family and friends. Playing on the ward
basketball team within hours of landing, attending
a youth church dance and the temple, going to school
with his cousin Chelsea, checking out "POPS" were
some of the highlights. But we won't go into the
unfortunate visit to Taco Bell...

Well, we arrived in Colorado just in time!
Our family friends, the Bush's, were leaving
the next day for their new home in Baltimore, MD.

Ed, Judy and Amanda stopped by for a hug and
goodbye chat just a few hours after we landed in CO.

It will be different coming back to Broomfield
not having Judy there to keep our lives fun
and interesting with her perspective on life
and amazing talents she shares so well.
Thank goodness for modern technology to
keep us all connected!

Chandra's buddy Amanda is sticking around,
for now...

Cody is having a fun basketball season!
He is able to play for the BIS JV team
as well as play up with the Varsity team.
So far the teams have traveled to
