"Berlin Bruiser" Day Eight~

Almost gone!
A week ago today Cody had a colorful, puffy
ugly black eye and a slightly chipped tooth!
A few days later and he's almost as good as new!

Flowers Galore!~

For a year now I have driven by several

flower beds growing alongside the roads.

I finally asked what they were for....

You can pick your own flowers and create a

beautiful bouquet to enjoy or give as gift.

There is a small stand at one end that has a

tool for cutting and a box to leave money in.

Depending on how thick the stems are in

your bouquet determines how much money

you drop into the coin box.

Finally I took a friend and we pulled over to

take pictures of very beautiful flowers and

to create my own bouquet to take home.

The pictures never really do flowers justice

but I took some anyway....actually I took 100

pictures, but I will spare you and post just

some of the photos.

Enjoy the beautiful colors and unique shapes.

One of my favorites!

I need to go back and reevaluate this flower.

From every angle, as you will see, it seems

there are petals all around.

This one reminded me of the 4th of July!

We're coming back here to pick our pumpkins
for some serious carving!

This sweet German woman let me
take her picture with the flowers she picked.
She said "I can't live without my flowers!"

My history shows, I can never make up my mind....
Sooo I just chose a little bit of each!

I now have them to enjoy in my home!

So beautiful!

Enough for another vase to have in the kitchen.

"Berlin Bruiser" Day Four-All Patched Up~

Cody is ready to get his great smile back
and looking good.

This is the "before" picture at the Dentist office.

This tooth will be looking good soon enough.

Cody wasn't minding the "gas" he was put on
to offset the discomfort of the work done on
his tooth. It was worth missing classes for...

"After" shot...
There's that great smile back!
Now, we'll just give that eye a few more days
and he'll be as good as new!

"Berlin Bruiser" Day Three~

Day three...

Cody certainly has a good shiner going!

His cheek is still pretty swollen,
he asked for scrambled eggs for breakfast...

We were able to watch or listen to General
Conference on our computer via the internet.
How amazing is technology!

"Berlin Bruiser" Day Two~

Well, here is Cody the night of his return
from the Berlin Cross Country trip.

This is day two since he and another
kid collided at a corner in Berlin.
Notice his swollen left cheek.
We are thinking maybe Berlin is
too dangerous for future visits....

His left front tooth is chipped.
Hopefully the dentist will work his
magic on Cody Monday morning.
