Grover the "Great"~

Well, here is cute little 4 month old Grover!

He came over for a fun play day today.

He is a very mild, calm puppy. One of the cute

things about him is that he grunts and groans a lot.

It's as if he's an old man grumbling around the

house talking about this and that. He is a bit timid,

so quick moves or noises made him jump.

While in the kitchen I heard Grover give a

small little growl. When I came to see what

was up he was sitting down, far away from

the window where a cat was staring him down.

He just did not know what to do.

He would occassionally bark at it.

At times he would start to walk over to

the window and then run back to me.

After about 20 minutes he was able

to get this close to the window, but

only for a few seconds then he'd run

back to me.

He would lay here for a long time just studying

that cat, who didn't bat an eye at him!

He finally was brave enough to go lay

down by the window to get a closer look.

The "Drama" at BIS~

This past week was "Arts Week" at BIS.

Different aspects of the arts programs were showcased

either through displays or through performances during

the day or in the evening. Cody's drama class includes

9th and 10th grade students. All students performed

monologues or participated in short dialogues with 2 or 3

other students. The monologues and dialogues were usually

small excerpts taken from larger pieces representing

different time periods. It was an enjoyable night.

Here Cody doesn't appreciate someone "different"

on his skateboarding turf.

Cody's monologue is about a student frustrated

with the pressures of being successful to please

his parents and go onto to higher schooling.

Cody receives the Bronze Award~

BIS recognizes their students who have

positively contributed to the school environment.

Cody received the Bronze Award after his

first semester here at BIS!

Way to go Cody!!!
