Well, our second day in London put us to the test.
Besides tight living quarters we had to figure out
THE TUBE!
This is the first of the two rooms we stayed in.
It was tight quarter's in this Bed n' Breakfast.
We had to be careful coming in and out of the room.
There were two doors to pass through, about 3 feet apart.
You had to be careful not to squish yourself between them.
The first day in London the Natural History Museum
was so close we could walk to it.
However, it was inevitible that we needed to use
THE TUBE to really get around London.
So, after a lot of map studying, and asking for help,
we made it to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.
This is a replication of Madame Tussaud.
She began her career making death masks of
victims of the French Revolution in the early 1800's,
and it grew bigger from there.
With the skills of practiced artists we get to have
the fun of "photo shoots" with well known figures.
Miley Cyrus was a fun place for Cody
to start his photo shoot!
Johnny Depp was nearby.
Unfortunately it cost a little extra
"to be seen" so close to him.
I settled for a distant shot.
Tom Cruise was hanging around,
so I took one with him.
Cody liked standing next to Tom.
It felt pretty good standing next to
a big name star that maybe isn't so big
in all categories...
Hey! Here's Orlando Bloom from "Pirates of the Caribbean"
and the Elven guy in "The Lord Of The Rings!"
Cody had his own deck of cards handy and decided
to sit down and play a hand with George Clooney.
Angelina Joli and Brad Pitt were hangin' around.
As were soccer star David Beckam
with his wife Victoria, a former Spice girl.
I've always like Morgan Freeman as an actor.
Cody and I were really excited to pose with
Will Smith!
Oh my, he does have some biceps!
Cody had to stop for a minute with Robert Downey Jr.
posing for his latest film "Sherlock Holmes."
Cody also liked Robert's role in the "Iron Man."
Hey! Jim Carey sharing a minute with Cody!
What a guy!
Coreen still appreciate's the "oldies but goodies"
like John Wayne.
We thought of my brother Kyle and
his family of racers when we ran into
Jesse Owens.
Princess Di is wearing something new
since we were here last.
Here's a guy Dad would know,
Jimi Hendrix.
Coreen would have been wondering who he was
for a long time if they didn't have a sign....
Now this is one of Coreen's favs.
Can't beat hanging out with Elvis!!
Michael Jackson was another of those people
you just got a glimpse of...
The infamous London phone booth.
Here's the street our Bed n' Breakfast was on.
Only one night was spent in the previous room.
We moved to a different room, for Jim's arrival.
We were hoping it would be a bit roomier.
No such luck.
Jim flew into London with us Wednesday morning
and went straight to Northern London to the
plant there. He was able to rejoin us by Thursday night.
We were glad he had Good Friday off and we enjoyed a
much needed three day weekend together.
We had an official "Fish n' Chips" meal while in London.
Except for Cody, he managed to find pizza on the menu.
