Mother to Be~

Anna-Lena, a friend in our Bonn ward,
 is soon to be a new mother!

Heidi and I had a wonderful time 
hosting a baby shower for her.

First Snow~

Today's snowfall in Bonn was our 

first snowfall of the season.

It is not anything compared to the recent storms
in Utah or Colorado but it was a pleasant
surprise to wake up to the morning after our
"Deutschland" Thanksgiving.

Deutschland??? "Thanksgiving"~

2010 Thanksgiving in Deutschland!

Since this is an American holiday we were on our

own to create a festive spirit here.  Cody was feeling

VERY festive since we let him out of school early to 

enjoy our late afternoon Thanksgiving meal with friends!

 The Miller family graciously hosted several families

from the Bonn ward as well as the ward missionaries.

The tables are so....Thanksgivingish!

 To feel the true spirit of Thanksgiving 

we donned pilgrim hats! Ha!

 Creed says it's not a true Thanksgiving celebration

if there is not an abundance of pies...

We have EIGHT pies here!!!  All homemade!

Apple, pumpkin, pumpkin-creme cheese, pecan, cherry,

chocolate creme, coconut creme, coconut lime custard.

Coreen's favorite....the pecan pie!
Jim's favorite is still Coreen's apple pie. :-)
