Wyoming Baby Blessing~

Jim and I paid Laramie, Wyoming an overnight visit
Saturday night to attend a baby blessing.
Our nephew Bret and his wife Liz had another
baby girl, Adele, and invited us to come
for her blessing on December 4.

We have had a great visit with family.  Jim's brother
Ralph and his wife Patsy flew in from Arizona to be
here for the event.  They must really love their
grandbaby's because they endured zero degree
temperature's over the weekend!

the city Elder Engstrom serves in.

Thanksgiving Mountain Time~

We made time to have some Thanksgiving fun
in our beautiful Colorado Mountains.

When there is at least four of us getting together
we usually find a way to work in a game of
"Settlers of Catan."
 I NEVER win!
But I was closer than I've ever been before....

Of course the main activity was skiing!
Bryce was excited to be back at skiing again
since he has not skied more than once for 6 years
due to diving and knee surgeries.
He was having fun trying out his new skies.

Sagebrush Invite 2011~

Cody is having a great time being back on the
Sagebrush Team he and his brother Bryce
have both dove for in the past.

 Just before the Sagebrush Invite
the team posed for photos.

Never a dull practice with this bunch.

Cody placed 1st on both the 1 meter and 3 meter.

Award Night~

~Super Kid Award Night~
Broomfield High School

Cody, up on stage, receiving his award from
Ginger Ramsey the BHS Principle.
The award is an anonymous one, so we
won't know who actually nominated Cody.

After receiving a flower he moved across the stage.

Waiting for all the other students to receive their awards.

It's great know there are so many awesome kids attending
Broomfield High School and making a positive difference.
Great job Cody!!!

Our Doggies~

My birthday picture.

In memory of our sweet pupsters.
Yana and Sequoia.

Coreen's Birthday Week-Day 4~

I am officially 48.
It's not so bad to swallow that fact when I have had
wonderful family and friends to make turning older
not such a grim ordeal-in fact it might be fun to have
birthday's more often if the reality was that you
didn't turn any older on them. ;-)

What a fantastic surprise when I opened Kris's
birthday gift to me.  It was a photo of two labs,
black and yellow, that looked so much like our
doggies Sequoia and Yana.  They are in the canoe
with paddles in their jaws trying to chase down
the tennis ball just in front of them.
Love it!!!

Later in the day we celebrated mine and my mom's birthday's
at lunch.  It was great food and great conversation!

Coreen, Kendra-my sister, my Mom-the other birthday girl!

Ready to dig in for some yummy dessert!

Before heading to dinner we watched Cody at dive practice.

Cody's spinning so fast you can barely make him out.

It was a delicious birthday dinner at one of my
favorite Mexican Restaurants downtown.

At home we celebrated having a Gigi's cupcake
for our birthday treat!

Jim was so sweet sending me these beautiful flowers
and some awesome perfume.
As I reflected on my "birthday week" I felt so much
gratitude for the wonderful family and friends that I
have in my life to cherish and have so much joy with.
What wonderful blessings they all are to me!

Coreen's Birthday Week-Day 3~

What better way to welcome my friend
from California than with a good old
Colorado snow storm!!! :-)

On our way to work out we had to shovel
the driveway before heading off.  Kris
even helped in her cute Uggs.

 Nothing like pretty white snow
for a fun photo shoot.

Our fun lunch date of the day was taking my Dad
to his Senior Center to enjoy lunch together.
It was enjoyable to see how many friends he had
ready to chat and visit with him.

A stop in the stores showed a little of our wilder side..
Rrrrrr.......

Coreen's Birthday Week-Day 2~

Having birthdays and turning older is a lot more fun when
you have dear and fabulous friends to celebrate with!!!

Kim, Kris and I met for lunch, at one of
Kim and I's favorite Mexican restaurants.
The food was great as always.

Besides eating I enjoyed talking for two hours
with two of my favorite people!
Definitely a great way to spend a birthday!!!

Later I took my mom some birthday flowers to enjoy
at her office.  We have the same birthday on Nov. 3rd.
I decided my Mom needed flowers to enjoy the whole
week of her birthday!

I was "tickled pink" with my new little
Wee Forest Folk "Flapper girl" from Kim.
She is so darling in her pink dress, pearl beads
and sparkling purse.  So, so cute!!!
Thanks Kim!!!

Coreen's Birthday Week-Day 1~

Well, I'm up for another birthday again....
To make turning older much more palatable my dear
friend Kris flew in to town for a fun week to visit
and play and of course talking non-stop!

One of the first fun activities was having her meet
Cody's lunch bunch that I have fun cooking meals
for once a month.  Nothing like having lunch with
4 cute boys!!

Kris and I also enjoyed visiting Lilly and Kola, the
Reichman's dogs.  Lilly is the puppy we picked up
for the Reichman's a few weeks ago, she is hiding
under Kris's legs enjoying the shade during our
beautiful fall day in sunny Colorado.
Later in the afternoon Kris and I had a great time
watching Cody at his diving practice, despite seeing
some other divers having "near death experience's!!"
