Coreen's Birthday Week-Day 2~

Having birthdays and turning older is a lot more fun when

you have dear and fabulous friends to celebrate with!!!

 Kim, Kris and I met for lunch, at one of 

Kim and I's favorite Mexican restaurants.  

The food was great as always.

Besides eating I enjoyed talking for two hours

with two of my favorite people!

Definitely a great way to spend a birthday!!!

 Later I took my mom some birthday flowers to enjoy

at her office.  We have the same birthday on Nov. 3rd.

I decided my Mom needed flowers to enjoy the whole 

week of her birthday!

I was "tickled pink" with my new little 

Wee Forest Folk "Flapper girl" from Kim.

She is so darling in her pink dress, pearl beads

and sparkling purse.  So, so cute!!!

Flowers Galore!~

For a year now I have driven by several

flower beds growing alongside the roads.

I finally asked what they were for....

You can pick your own flowers and create a

beautiful bouquet to enjoy or give as gift.

There is a small stand at one end that has a

tool for cutting and a box to leave money in.

Depending on how thick the stems are in

your bouquet determines how much money

you drop into the coin box.

Finally I took a friend and we pulled over to

take pictures of very beautiful flowers and

to create my own bouquet to take home.

The pictures never really do flowers justice

but I took some anyway....actually I took 100

pictures, but I will spare you and post just

some of the photos.

Enjoy the beautiful colors and unique shapes.

I need to go back and reevaluate this flower.

From every angle, as you will see, it seems

there are petals all around.

This one reminded me of the 4th of July!

We're coming back here to pick our pumpkins

for some serious carving!

This sweet German woman let me

take her picture with the flowers she picked.

She said "I can't live without my flowers!"

My history shows, I can never make up my mind....

Sooo I just chose a little bit of each!

I now have them to enjoy in my home!

So beautiful!

Enough for another vase to have in the kitchen.
