Dusseldorf Day~

Jim and I drove Cody and other youth
from our church to a stake youth activity
in Dusseldorf, about 1 hour away.
With their activity being 2 hours long
we took advantage of the time and
walked around the city of Dusseldorf.
It was a very enjoyable morning!
We first walked to the harbor where we took in the
view of the Rheine River flowing past Dusseldorf.
The Rheine begins in Switzerland then heads
north eventully emptying into the North Sea.
The clock tower was a charming point of interest.
This is opposite the view of the clock tower,
along the harbor walk.  The haze and mist
hid the huge bridge built over the Rheine River.

Walking in to the city center was delightful
as we browsed the weekend markets selling
flowers, fresh vegetables, fruits and meat vendors.

Jim is paying for items chosen from this vendor.
I told Jim it is more fun shopping in this type of
market with all it's sights, sounds and smells than
the boring, old predictable grocery stores back home :-)
