Birthday Brunch~

Anette Grunke, a friend from church, hosted her

birthday party.  She invited some of her friends
over for a delicious, traditional German breakfast.

The Germans certainly know how to wrap a
GIFT CARD!
Here is the gift card we gave to Anette to enjoy
using at a beautiful, local garden store.

We had an interesting conversation about how the

Americans versers the rest of the world celebrate

birthday's.  Heidi and I realized we are the only 

country that expects people to host a fun event

for our birthday, not the other way around.  We

think we have easily convinced our German friends

to change their approach and have friends host 

their birthday parties every year!  We'll have

a party for Heidi's upcoming birthday, and show

them how it is done in the U.S. ! :-)
