Our family was excited to be together
for the Christmas holiday's this year!
On Saturday, December 19th at 5 a.m.
Jim, Cody and I headed to Frankfurt airport.
Bryce, Kent, Chandra and her boyfriend Tyler
all arrived to big hugs and big smiles!
We were ready to have tons of fun together!
Rothenberg, Germany was our first stop
before we headed back to Bonn, Germany.
Despite the 14 degree celsius temperatures
we had a great time in this charming city.
The first thing we did was have a good German meal
and warm up for all the fun sightseeing ahead.

Looks like Cody's catching up with
the big boys!

Enjoying the Outdoor Christmas Market
in Rothenberg's main square.

Taking pictures was almost unbearable,
it was sooooooo cold!
About 7 degrees Fahrenheit.
One of the many towers in the wall
surrounding the city of Rothenberg.
Of course it needs to be climbed!
Rooftops in this cozy city.
Walking the wall.
Houses nestled inside Rothenberg's walls.
We next visited Heidelberg, Germany.
The main shopping area was packed
with holiday shoppers.
It was STILL SO COLD - 7 degrees farenheit!!!
Some of Heidelberg's Outdoor Christmas Market.
Cody's likin' it!
Especially when there is food to eat!
Bryce and Cody really liked
warm crepes with chocolate inside,
so did the rest of us.
This brings back some memories. Glad you all were together for Christmas and had a good time touring.
ReplyDeleteThis also brings back some nice memories for me. One the favorite places I visited when there was Rothenberg - hope to go back one day, but not when it is soooo cold. Thanks for posting the pictures. My favorite is the one of all of you on the Charles bridge in Prague, another favorite place. Wonderful you could all be together for Christmas and to re-visit such fun and neat places. mom
ReplyDeleteI love the one where we're all leaning over the wall! soo cute!
