Bryce and Jessie ENGAGED!!!~

Bryce and Jessie became engaged today!!!
Tuesday, March 13, 2011
They enjoyed a romantic and delicious dinner at a
fancy, schmancy restaurant in Park City, Utah
called "Ruths Chris!"
They had a table with a beautiful view.
Complete with a dozen roses on the table and
chilled Martinelli in the ice bucket at the table.

After dinner they stopped at a romantic spot
in the moutains with a view and
Bryce proposed to Jessie!

Here they are back at Bryce's place.
Just so happy!!!

 A beautiful ring!!

They're engaged and getting married!!!!!
WHOO HOO!!

Divin' Dude~

Cody competed in the Regional Diving Competition
this past weekend with his club diving team.

One of the perks was having Cody's longtime diving buddy,
Jordan, coming to town and compete as well.
Jordan, on the left, dives for BYU as a freshman this year.
Trayton is another friend that came from a Utah club to compete.
They stayed Friday night at our home.
Getting up the next morning was a bit of a challenge for some...

Cody competed Saturday on 1 meter.
He placed 9th out of 20 divers.

Cody hanging out with some of his diving buddies.
Trayton, Matt and Duncan.

 Jordan is still tired....

Sunday Cody competed on 3 meter.

Cody placed 6th out of 14 divers on 3 meter!

Placing 6th means Cody gets to compete in
West Nationals in Oklahoma!

Way to go Cody!!!

Cookies With Payton~

So, at Payton's request, she and I got together again
to make more chocolate chip cookies.
Gotta love being popular! ;-)

I had Payton over a while back so her Mom could
take care of Payton's two little twin sisters and we
had fun making cookies then.  Payton also has an
older sister and a younger brother.  All just as cute!
Of course our cookies turned out just delicious!

Patyon also liked playing with my Matruska sets.
She is holding a very tiny one in the palm of her hand.
Jim was home while we baked.  As I drove Payton home
she said in her very grown up 4 year old voice:
"It was so nice to meet him."
And...
"I wonder what kind of husband I will have?"
Gotta love 4 year olds!

Cody's First High School Dive Meet at BHS~

Cody had his first high school dive meet-EVER!
GO BROOMFIELD!!!

Cody's three friends he's known since elementary school
Tanner, Ethan, and Jake signed up to join Cody on the
high school dive team even though none of these three
friends have ever dove competitively before.

 That's right!  It's happening!!

The dive meet in Greeley went great!
Cody scored 276 points!
He qualified for state his first meet.
All five divers are pictured here including Jacob
a student from a local charter school.

Jim is one of the dive coaches on the BHS team.
He's already made huge progress with his new beginning divers!

On the drive home we enjoyed a fabulous Colorado sunset.

Cody's 18th Birthday!!!~

Cody seemed to have a birthday week this year,
which is not bad considering he turned 18!!!

With the ping pong table coming a few days early
we already had the fun with that gift.
Once the table was set up we decided to share some
personal gifts for Cody to enjoy.

Some new sweaters and shirts seemed to be a hit.

This one is my favorite since it will
show off his beautiful blue eyes!

We thought there would be timing conflicts on Cody's
actual birthday so we took him to CPK, a day early,
for a pepperoni pizza-his favorite meal.

The waiter confused us a bit with the offer of a cream soda,
Cody's favorite.  We weren't sure what to think when a carbonated
drink with a small pitcher of creme was set in front of Cody.

It wasn't a hit, no flavor!  Weird stuff!

Here is Cody on the morning of his actual 18th birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CODY!!!!

Ummmm....we are only letting him vote, for now!

Cody's sweet cousin Chelsea brought over a personalized
specially made birthday gift.   It is a wonderful, and delightful
book of photographs Chelsea put together celebrating their
fun, happy 18 years together.  Chelsea turns 18 next month!
So thoughtful of our Chelsea girl!

With evening plans changing once again Jim, Cody and I
were able to go to a movie and then return home for some
brownies Cody ordered up along with caramel ice cream.
We are so blessed to have our Cody boy in our family!!!

Ping Pong Pals~

In honor of Cody's 18th birthday,
tomorrow the 22nd of February,
we celebrated by purchasing a ping pong table.

Cody has several friends who are pretty good.
Cody's thinking with his own ping pong table, for more
practice time, he will get a few more wins in upcoming matches.

Jim and Cody spent a couple hours putting
the new table together.

First players step up to the table.
Okay players "BRING IT ON!!"

Ski Weekend~

Jim and I had the chance to ski two days this weekend.

 Both days we skied Keystone.
We did not start skiing Friday until 2pm and it was great
with minimal people on the slopes!
Saturday the slopes were crowded, however we did find some runs
that were not overwhelmed with "once a season skiers."
It was a great ski gettaway!

Heart Attacked!~

Our family was "heart attacked" last night!
When Jim and I came up from our movie
last night this is what we saw in our yard!

It's nice to feel loved!

Feelin' The Love~

It's Valentine's Day!
Jim and I had a wonderful day being together.

We started our day off going to the gym working out.
Then we came home and had fun sharing our
Valentine's gifts for one another.
I gave Jim some work out paddles for swimming.

I definitely made out better with my gift.
Jim was SO sweet and gave me something I had seen
in Seiffen, Germany when we were there last spring.
I just love it!

We attended the Denver Temple in the morning.

Then it was off to one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants
for lunch before coming home to watch a romantic comedy.
A great Valentine's Day for sure!

Cool Coasters~

I finally did it.  I finally went and bought Coasters.
It's one of those things that I overlook having
when the moment is here, and once the moment has
passed I forget I will need them for the next time.

I am really excited about the ones I purchased!
The cool thing is you can slide photos in the back
of these light green, glass tiles.  It was fun
choosing some favorite photos we took in Europe.
I have four countries represented:
Belgium, Germany, Greece, and The Czech Republic.

Here are a couple of photos from Brugge, Belgium.

Anyone's welcome to stop by for a refreshing drink!
This time I'm ready!

Working The Election Process~

Last night Jim and I attended the caucus in our precinct.
We learned quite a bit about this process and have a
lot more learning to do before it makes better sense.
The turn out was amazing!  The Broomfield High
Auditorium was full with many having to stand.
There was also a great number of young people which
was great to see, and not all of them were for Ron Paul. :)
One of the young men was 18 and excited to be a part
of the process.  It's fun knowing Cody will be able to
vote in the election this coming November.

After the opening general meeting in the local high
school auditorium where all attending cast their straw
votes those choosing to continue on to the precinct
meetings went to assigned classrooms to vote for the
2 delegates we wanted to send on to represent us in
future meetings and be voted for.

Once our precinct voted then these 2 delegates moved
to a larger group to be voted for with the delegates from
the other precincts.  The end result from our votes in this
second round was to send 11 representing Mitt Romney
and 1 undeclared.
